Senior-led software studio

Senior software delivery for work that's stuck.

Corco Labs is a small, senior-led software studio helping teams ship product features, integrations, automation, modernization and high-value web projects. We work with a limited number of engagements at a time, so the people scoping the work stay close to delivery.

One senior lead from scope to release. No handoff maze, no code lock-in. Start with a focused first release and keep full ownership.

What We Do

Four lanes, one team

Most engagements start in one lane and pull in a second. We are an engineering studio first - web and growth work is the supporting offer, not the business.

Build

The feature or product your roadmap keeps deferring

Full-stack delivery for customer-facing software. We scope it tight, build it properly, and get it into production where it can earn its keep.

  • Full-stack products
  • Product features
  • APIs
  • Integrations
  • Customer-facing applications
  • Testing and safe releases

Modernize

Ship faster with fewer outages

When every change feels risky, the problem is usually architecture, not effort. We modernize incrementally, in production, without the big-bang rewrite that never lands.

  • Legacy modernization
  • Architecture improvements
  • Performance
  • Reliability
  • Cloud and infrastructure
  • CI/CD

Automate

Less manual work, measured against your own baseline

Data copied between spreadsheets, status chased by hand, reports assembled manually. We replace that with systems your team can trust and see into.

  • Workflow automation
  • Internal tools
  • Data processing
  • Reporting
  • AI-assisted workflows
  • System integrations

Web & Growth Foundations

Secondary

The technical groundwork under your pipeline

The supporting lane, not the headline. When a site is the thing holding back pipeline, we fix the engineering underneath it: speed, crawlability, tracking that tells the truth.

  • B2B websites
  • Landing pages
  • Technical SEO
  • Performance
  • Analytics and tracking
  • Conversion fundamentals

What you get

2 - 4 weeks Typical time to a first measurable win
Production-ready Maintainable delivery
Zero lock-in Full code ownership

Where engagements usually start

A release that keeps slipping. A system nobody wants to touch. A process running on spreadsheets and goodwill. Tell us which one it is and we will say what the smallest valuable first move looks like - including when it is not us.

How we run

Small by design

We take on a limited number of engagements at a time. The people involved in scoping and technical decisions stay close to implementation and release - no sales-to-junior-team handoff.

We stay deliberately lean so senior people remain close to every engagement.

No sales-to-junior-team handoff

The person who scopes the work is the person in the code. Nothing is agreed in a meeting and then quietly reassigned to whoever is free.

Decisions stay where the context is

Architecture calls get made by someone who has read the codebase, not relayed through an account layer.

A queue you can actually see

Fewer simultaneous engagements sometimes means a start date a few weeks out - and it means your project is not sharing attention with nine others.

How We Work

Outcome-based partnership

Business impact, not hours logged. A clear first win, then a delivery cadence that keeps improving the numbers.

01

Diagnose the Constraint

Tell us what is blocked. We review the context, ask the useful questions, and identify the smallest valuable release.

A clear first move and an honest fit check
02

Plan the First Win

We turn priorities into a concrete scope: what's in, what's out, what success looks like, and how we'll measure it.

A measurable plan with clear deliverables
03

Ship Weekly

Focused sprints with demos, written updates, and clear decisions. You see progress and can steer based on reality.

Working improvements you can validate fast
04

Operate & Improve

After launch, we keep tightening the loop: monitor, fix, and improve based on real usage. Clean handoff if you move on.

A stable system and a path to iterate
Risk-free start Scoped before commitment First value in 2 - 4 weeks Sprint, partner, or embedded support

Start with the constraint, then ship the first fix

Bring the website, workflow, feature, or integration that keeps costing you time. We'll turn it into a practical first move you can validate quickly.

What It's Actually Like

Working with us

Your project, your timeline, your priorities

We work on what matters most to you. Priorities change? Just tell us. We'll adapt the same day.

No black boxes

You own the code from day one. We use your GitHub, your Slack, your tools. Nothing is hidden.

Honest about what we can (and can't) do

If something is out of scope or will take longer, we tell you upfront. No surprises on the invoice.

How we keep you in the loop

Daily Slack update on what we did and what's next
Weekly Written progress report + optional sync call
Always Full access to the project board. Every task visible.

Who does the work

Senior people doing the actual work.

Corco Labs is a small software studio led by Borut Balazek, a hands-on software engineer with 14+ years of experience. Projects are kept intentionally focused so senior technical judgment stays close to delivery.

He scopes each first release and stays in the engineering through to production. Where a project needs a specialist we bring one in and say so - you always know who is writing the code.

FAQ

Questions? We've got answers.

Can't find what you're looking for? Reach out.

How do you price your services?

Either fixed-scope sprints (clear deliverables) or a monthly retainer for ongoing delivery. In both cases you get a written scope, assumptions, and weekly checkpoints so cost stays predictable.

What makes you different from other agencies?

You get one senior lead from scope through release, start with a focused first release, and keep full ownership. Progress stays visible through demos and written updates.

How long does a typical project take?

Most teams see the first measurable win in 2–4 weeks. Bigger builds run in milestones, with something shippable every 1–2 weeks so you can steer and avoid surprises.

Do you work with startups or only enterprises?

Both. The best fit is a team that wants speed and accountability, can make decisions, and cares about measurable outcomes (pipeline, cost, or delivery speed).

What technologies do you specialize in?

Modern web + backend (React/Next.js, Node, Python), cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure), data (Postgres, Redis), and the tooling around delivery (CI/CD, observability, analytics). We pick what fits the constraints, not a shiny stack for its own sake.

Can you augment our existing team?

Yes. We can embed with your team to unblock delivery, improve quality, and transfer knowledge. You keep your tools and processes; we adapt.

Do you handle both development and marketing?

We primarily ship software and the technical foundation for growth: performance, tracking, SEO fundamentals, and conversion fixes. If you already have marketing operators, we plug into that; if not, we’ll focus on the highest-leverage basics.

Do you offer ongoing support and maintenance?

Yes. Many clients keep us on retainer for ongoing shipping and maintenance. If you prefer handoff, we document and transfer cleanly so your team can take over.

How do you handle data privacy and security?

We design for least privilege, keep secrets managed properly, and ship with sane defaults (secure headers, audit-friendly logging, encryption in transit). If you have compliance requirements, we map them into the delivery plan early.

What if I only need one service (e.g., just SEO)?

That’s fine. We’ll start with the highest-impact slice (often technical SEO + tracking + page speed) and expand only if it’s working and worth it.

Engagement Fit

The shape depends on the constraint

We do not force every project into a public package. We start with the problem, agree on the smallest valuable move, then choose the working model that keeps decisions simple.

Focused sprint

For a defined bottleneck or a first valuable release.

Best when the target is clear and you need senior delivery without a long commitment. Ends with something shipped, not a report.

  • Tight scope and success criteria
  • Clear timeline and weekly demos
  • Full code ownership
  • Clean handoff after launch
Tell us what's stuck

Useful after the first win

Ongoing product partner

For continuing delivery without hiring an entire internal team.

Best when the roadmap keeps moving and you want a dependable shipping rhythm rather than a headcount plan.

  • Roadmap shaping and execution
  • Priority communication
  • Weekly shipping rhythm
  • Continuous improvement after launch
Tell us what's stuck

Embedded engineering

For a team that already has direction but needs senior engineering capacity.

Best when you own the roadmap and the gap is hands and technical judgment, working inside your tools and rituals.

  • Works in your tools and rituals
  • Architecture and delivery support
  • Knowledge transfer
  • Flexible involvement
